Windows 7 Corrupt Passwords?
I recently had some problems with avast! antivirus. It wouldn't uninstall because a dll was missing. This was caused from me uninstalling nvidia system update. I disabled avast from starting up in msconfig. After I restarted my password, which was password, is no longer valid. I can't find a way into the system anymore, any ideas? I know this is a beta so I don't have a ton of stuff on it, but MS won't let me change one of my 30 or 40 OEM XP keycodes into a MS SP2 keycode.

Hi, The article Susan provided could helps to save the certificate of your user account as a backup that can help you to log in the system when you lose password. However, since Windows 7 beta is a high security system, if this is not made before, you cannot boot in the system if you do not have a valid password. In this case, the certifications storage of the system can be damaged so we could not boot in it. The only way to make the computer work again is reinstalling the system. Arthur Xie - MSFT
