Error code refers to a RAM problem, how much memory is on that machine? Check memory sticks (several ways of doing this), if you have 2 one gig sticks, pull one and try it, then swap if problem continues, if still no good, try another set of memory sticks.MCSE, MCSA, MCDST

Thankyou for your reply, the following is my setup.Intel DX48BT2 Extreme moboIntel Core2 extreme cpu x9770 3.2GHz quad corecorsair 1000w psunvidia 9800 gtx graphics cardcorsair DHX ddr3 2 x 2gig ram (4gig) 1666MHzThis mobo according to specs takes both 1333 and 1666MHZ ddr3ram sticks which I have.I have 4gig installed and yes I have swapped the sticks around and tried one onlyI previously used the 1333 sticks butexperiencedlockups mostly whena media player was used.I found that the latest bios didnt allow for the correct voltage, so now using the 1666MHZwhich the latest biosaccommodates.I switched to the 1666 that remedied these lockups but are now causing the bsod's.Had one yesterday morning, rebooted then went through the day without a problem.Last night, recieved anotherand again this morning. I have the timing and voltage set correctly according to the ram specs but there are other bios values, 4 more that have not been changed so not sure if those require adjustments.I searched the corsair sites and everywhere else for these extra valueswithout success. Could you perhaps advise me onany next steps to resolve this problem?.

I suggest update BIOS to latest version. If it persists, try reseting BIOS to default settings. To solid troubleshoot this kind of kernel crash issue, we need to debug the crashed system dump and analyze the related source code if needed. Unfortunately, debugging is beyond what we can do in the forum. I'd like to recommend that you contact Microsoft Customer Support Service (CSS) for assistance so that this problem can be resolved efficiently. To obtain the phone numbers for specific technology request please take a look at the web site listed below: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;PHONENUMBERS If you are outside the US please see http://support.microsoft.com for regional support phone numbers.Thank you.Vivian Xing - MSFT

Thank you for your input Vivien. Seems to be the best advice I have recieved so far.I have updated the bios to the most recent with no change and resetting to default settings sets theram setting back to 1066MHz, which seems strange since the mobo specs conform to 1066, 1333 and 1666MHz, when I have 1666 installed.I will ring the MS customer support.Thank you.
