You really should contact Dell Customer Service or Technical Support and utilize the warranty you paid for to get your system running correctly. Dell has the sole resposibility for supporting your entire system to include the installed Windows 7. Thanks... except that Dell's answer is to reinstall windows. I'm looking for a better solution. Stephen

Sorry I don't have an answer for you, but looking for a better solution is the wise thing to do. It's my belief that the common "clean reinstall" solution to almost any problem stems from the technical support people at many of the larger OEMs. Their solution to almost any problem they don't quickly know the answer to is "reformat and reinstall." That's the perfect solution for them. It gets you off the phone quickly, it almost always works, and it doesn't require them to do any real troubleshooting (a skill that most of them obviously don't possess in any great degree). Maybe if you update to SP1 the problem will go away.

Hi Stephen, Since it's a fairly new computer, it's under warranty, contact DELL is better. Or you can do a in-place upgrade to check if it works. If you really want to check the dmp file, please upload the minidump and reply a link. I'll check it later.
