You should use manage-bde.exe to unlock the drive.Open a command prompt with administrative rights and enter the following command to unlock the drive:manage-bde.exe -unlock E: -RecoveryPassword .....Use the autounlock option to enable access to the drive after rebooting the system.Hope this helps.RayCRay

I try'd to run manage-bde.exe under vista sp1 but there aint no file lie that. Only a script like manage-bde.swf. If its the right script wich code do i need to use? Hi MarFox,I assumed you were still using Windows 7.The script manage-bde.wsf is the predecessor of manage-bde.exe in Windows Vista. It works almost the same. From the elevated command prompt use the following command to unlock the drive:cscript manage-bde.wsf -unlock E: -RecoveryPassword ....Use the same syntax for autounlock. Please let me know if this works out right.RayRay
