Windows 7 Backup and Restore not finding previous backup set.
I had a family member do an upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 and the computer got worse. I helped him backup his files to a 32gb flash drive without a system image of the old machine. (backup set is 14.7gb). After this, we did a clean install of Windows 7 on the machine. Now, I'm trying to restore the backup set from the flash drive. I try with the backup and restore function and it cannot find a backup set. It doesn't even allow me to navigate to the flash drive to search for the set. So, I go the the flash drive under Computer in Windows Explorer and click on the restore options there when selecting the "HOME" file folder. It ask me, "Do you want to restore files from this backup?". I click Restore Files. On the next screen, it ask to Select the backup that you want to restore files from. There is no backups listed here and I cannot navigate to the flash drive to select the set. What is I missing here? Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Hi, When double clicking the "HOME" folder, select Restore my files from this backup, click Browser for folders button and it will list the folders which are included in this backup. Then you could unzip the zipped folder manually.
