Windows 7 Backup I/O Failure
We have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and have used a Western Digital hard drive to back it up for at least two months. For the past week or so, backups fail (Error 0x8007045D), and neither Olaf's chkdsk nor a direct disk check indicate any errors. In addition, when our computer hibernates and we have to log back in, the computer does not detect the WD drive anymore. How can we resolve this? We need to back up our computer!
