Windows 7 Backup Details
Let me give you the short and then long story: Short: I'm look for some microsoft documentation that explains in detail how ther backup system works. I really want to know what happens when I fill up a network drive with backups and system images? Will it delete the oldest backup before it writes a new one to give it space? Or is this something I have to manage manually? Long: I have a business environment and all have windows 7 Premium on a windows domain. I currenlty have an EMC box with 1.2TB of storage set for Windows Pc backups and images. Currently set on thw Windows 7 backup is "Let me Choose" I select the Users documents and the C: drive along with a windows image. Backups have been running great on all machines, but now the 1.2TB has been used up. The backup complains that their isn't enough room to complete a backup. Does the backup program delete older images and backups? Let me know if you need more information.

Hi, Windows Backup keeps track of the files that have been added or modified since your last backup and then updates the existing backup, which saves disk space.
