Windows 7 Backup & Restore does not include my SQL .bak files

I have a laptop with Windows 7 professional and SQL 2008 R2 Express. I run a daily sqlcmd command that make a backup of my databases to a backup folder I have created for this purpose. Then I use the Windows 7 Backup and Restore program to backup different
folders including the folder that has my databasename.bak files. However when I try a "Restore my files" none of these .bak files are include. If I create a simple test.txt in the this folder, it is in my backup.
Can anyone explain what I need to do to have the SQL .bak files included?

Hi,

Firstly, please let us know if there are error messages when you perform backup and restore.

Meanwhile, based on my research, please check the following:

1. Check if you can manually move your database backup files to other locations.

2. Double check the owner and permissions of these files.

Hope this helps.
