Windows 7 Audi Policy
Hi, we are in the testing phase of introducing windows 7 into our windows 2003 domain. We are facing issues while implementing audity policy on the windows 7 machines. If we apply any one of the audity policy for eg audit account logon events to success& failure from the domain policy , it does not get applied. Its the same issue with all other audity plocies. If we go to the precedence tab of the group policies it gives the following error "The policy engine did not attempt to configure the setting. For more information see % windir %\security\logs\winlogon.log Is there an issue while applying windows 2003 domain audit policy on windows 7 ?

Hi, As it is to be more of Group Policy issue, I would like to recommend you to post in Group Policy forums for a better assistance. As far as I know, Basic audit policy settings can be applied to all versions of Windows since Windows 2000, but to use advanced audit policy settings, DC must be installed on a computer running Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2003 SP2. For more information, please read: Audit Policy Settings Under Local Policies\Audit Policy Security Audit Events for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Best Regards DalePlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
