Windows 7 Applocker Issue
HiI have been testing Windows 7 Applocker in a domain environment. Using domain group policies, how can I create an Executable Rule to prevent and application from being used....For eg MS Word that is installed on a client. From setting it on GPMC, using an Executable Rule, I have to browse to the installation path of MS Word in Program Files\.......... But on the domain controller where I am running GPMC, there is no installation of MS Word.... obviously. How can I translate the path of the Application on the client machine to the Publisher or Path setting in the Group Policy Executable Rules on the DC.If I implement it via Local Group Policies then it works fine becasue the actual installation of MS Word is on the local machine. How can I implement this on the GPMC on the domain controller. Also, Can applocker be used to restrict a user from installing an executable (For eg .exe)????? From what I realise, I can only restrict Windows Installer packages from being executedjk

Hello,You do not need to browse to the installation path of MS Word. You can just input the path. Have you read the "AppLocker Technical Documentation for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2"? You will find more information in it. Thomas77
