Windows 7 Ad Hoc mode only
In windows XP, in the advanced properties of a wireless connection, I had the ability to force an adapter to only use ad-hoc or infrastructure mode only. It seems this dialog box, in windows 7, does not seem to be available.
I have a situation that requires a laptop to have two wireless adapters, one to use only use ad-hoc (for a Ford diagnostic wireless device), and the other to only use infrastructure mode (to download updates to a ford vehicle). You have to think that car technicians
will ALWAYS accidentally (or cluelessly) connect the ad-hoc to a customer wifi nearby.
Any way to resolve this?

Hi,
This is by design. If you do not want to connect the infrastructure network, please do not save this kind of network profile. But you may not clear them to appear in the discovered network list.
