I did not enter the product key during the install as I did not have it handy. I was looking for entry point to enter the product key and activate Windows 7. Windows 7 is installed and executing with only minor problems. Does anyone know /how to activate the product or at least go through the motions?

isnt it > click on Start>right click "computer" select properties and scroll to the bottom and there is the key stuff?

If what Frye66 posted doesn't work for you, try searching for "activate" (without the quotes) in the help area. There will be a link to "activate Windows on this computer".What it leads to is \system32\slui.exe in the Windows directory. You may also activate by running this directly. You may have to run it as an administrator.All of the above is the same as for Vista.
