Windows 7 64bit and issues with network printers?
Hey Guys. I'm having a problem that seems to only be persistent on the 64bit installs of w7 that I've done. When searching to connect to one of our MANY networked printers, I'm receiving an error stating that a driver has not been installed and when I try to install the driver on the machine (which I was not required to do for the 32 bit installs - they found the printers and updated the drivers flawlessly) it gives me a memory error and then the printer wizard closes. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can work around this? Cheers, Beth

Hi Beth, Thank you for your post. Could you please provide us the exact error message you received: Capture a screenshot ============== 1) Press the Print Screen key (PrtScn) on your keyboard. 2) Click the "Start" menu, type "mspaint" in the Search Bar and Press Enter. 3) In the Paint program, click the "Edit" menu, click "Paste", click the "File" menu, and click "Save". 4) The "Save As" dialogue box will appear. Type a file name in the "File name:" box, for example: "screenshot". 5) Make sure "JPEG (*.JPG;*.JPEG;*.JPE;*.JFIF)" is selected in the "Save as type" box, click Desktop on the left pane and then click "Save". Please upload the picture to Windows Live SkyDrive (http://www.skydrive.live.com/) and share its URL with us. At this time, please try installing the driver for the printer first and then add it to see how it works. If there is another Windows 7 x64 computer on the network, please check if it also encoutered this issue. Thanks. Nicholas Li - MSFT
