Windows 7 64bit RDC connection problems
I have a VPN between my house and office. Have a desktop running Win 7 Pro 32bit and a laptop running Win 7 pro 64bit. Remote into Win XP pro. RDC runs fine on the 32bit system. The 64bit always has problems or freezes when connecting. Have disabled IPv6, turned off firewall etc. to no avail. Interestingly I can turn 64bit system on from being off and can't use RDC. If I reboot it after cold start it will work. There is obviously a bug in the 64bit RDC that MS needs to address. Have seen several other posts on Google with same problem.

Hi, Try this 1- uncheck the TCP/IP v6 2 - In options of remote desktop, tab ADVANCED, change the server authentifications for : Connect and don't warn me. 3 - Just below, in connect from anywhere, Settings... Select : Do not use an RD Gateway server.\ Check the TCP/IP v6 and everything still working. Bye
