I had to diable my network adaptor for a couple minutes and once i re-enabled it the network icon has been showing a red X since then. Also Under the Network and Sharing windows there is also no connections where is says Access Type: Internet Homegroup: Ready to create Connections: BLANK Even though I can connect to the internet just fine and am able to browse and surf with no problems. Now when i click on "Change adapter setting" and there is nothing under that, but yet i do show an adaptor under network in the device manager. Even under ipconfig /all it only shows the 1 Intel adaptor. Any help with this will br greatful.

please check if the dhcp client service is running on your machine.

please check if the dhcp client service is running on your machine. DHCP Client : Started Automatic. Trust me i went there also, but if the DHCP client is turned on. Network List Service, Network Location Awarenss are both turned on as well

Judging by the link one of those things "We know and we dont plan on addressing it cause its a low priority issue".

Cause with windows the only recourse is to insert Win7Pro64 in DVD drive reboot and reinstall. I however will not do it, due to a problem within windows that needs to be addressed, cause i know im not the only one having this issue.

Same issue...Drives me nuts, in addition i think it breaks the Vail Launchpad notifications.
