Windows 7 64bit ... RED X on the network Icon
I had to diable my network adaptor for a couple minutes and once i re-enabled it the network icon has been showing a red X since then.
Also Under the Network and Sharing windows there is also no connections where is says
Access Type: Internet
Homegroup: Ready to create
Connections: BLANK
Even though I can connect to the internet just fine and am able to browse and surf with no problems.
Now when i click on "Change adapter setting" and there is nothing under that, but yet i do show an adaptor under network in the device manager.
Even under ipconfig /all it only shows the 1 Intel adaptor.
Any help with this will br greatful.

Ive tried that, and "No Problems Found" and even if i go to create a new connection its stated "You are already connected to the internet"
Just a odd problem, but it would seem as being sorta wide spread at that.

Hi,
Please see:
The network adapter icon incorrectly displays a red "X" in the Manage Network Connections window in Windows Vista
when the network adapter is connected
Note: the above KB applies to Windows 7 too.

UH looking for a fix not something I know is broken. Judging by the link one of those things "We know and we dont plan on addressing it cause its a low priority issue".

Cause with windows the only recourse is to insert Win7Pro64 in DVD drive reboot and reinstall. I however will not do it, due to a problem within windows that needs to be addressed, cause i know im not the only one having this issue.
