Windows 7 64bit: BSoD SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION few times a day
Pretty much what the title says. I just got my PC put together a few days ago. I got all the updates via Windows Updater (multiple times), I got all the newest drivers and double checked to make sure I had none out of date, yet I will still frequently get blue screens. I' not putting it into sleep mode or anything like that, it will randomly blue screen as I'm just sitting here. Playing games on Steam, flash games online, checking mail, etc, it will just randomly BSoD. I uninstalled AVG (which was suggested to me) and it doesn't seem to have helped, or at least not in a direct way I can see. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

I used to use AVG until Microsoft Security Essentials was made available. I suggest using it. Next download memtest.org cd or usb as needed and test your memory overnight Windows MVP, XP, Vista, 7. Please follow the instructions by Mr X. It's very likely to be caused by a system service, device driver or graphics driver, and the minidump data is required to find out which.

I did. My comp is saying that I have all possible up-to-date drivers everywhere anyway. If it makes a difference, I also got a DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error for the first time within the last two days, and I also get random blue screens that don't give me an error message at the top.

Please go to your manufacturer Website and check if there is new updates to install. If yes, install them. Also, try disabling your graphic card driver and check the result. Please uninstall all programs that you don't use and perform a full scan on your disks to check that there is no malware programs. There's not. I've done multiple scans and the programs are saying there's nothing. I've used both AVG and Microsoft Security Essentials (as mentioned above). Plus, I know what to not click on so I don't get viruses. I don't think it makes a difference, but this isn't a pre-fab comp; I got different parts from different companies, but that doesn't seem to have ever been an issue in my experience, both with past and friend's computers. And how would disabling my graphics card driver help? I'm just curious.

Why, what did it do? I'm surprised it needs to be replaced, it's brand new. I'll see what I can do though. Also just this morning, I got a new blue screen error code; MEMORY_MANAGEMENT.

And another new one, moments ago; PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. What the hell has possessed my computer?
August 2nd, 2011 2:05pm

Sounds like it might be a hardware problem to me you might want to run memory diagnostics, for example. If your BIOS doesnt have a setting to perform this, it probably best to get a DOS based bootable diagnostics (odds that it crashes because of any memory problem are reduced) there are free ones out there if you google. I think Microsoft has a DOS based memory test available... "Magnivore" wrote in message news:5ca58db8-be0b-4997-a4f6-d9117a3279f6... Pretty much what the title says. My tech friend said that it might be an issue of my ram overheating. Now, I don't have any extra fans in my tower, but I have the side panel off and a fan blowing into it constantly now. Yesterday, since we set that up, it was fine. Just now though, I got another BSoD, with a PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA message, but this time it had 'win32.sys' above it.

Yeah I'm doing that right now, but it's not working. I got it onto my USB drive, but the files won't open. The type of file they are actually are just 'file'. Name | Type Copying | File mt86plus | File Readme | Text Document syslinux | CFG File The readme isn't anything special either, it just talks about the program. The farthest I've gotten also is downloading the other zip files on the same page as I got this, and those won't open either. mt420 | Disc Image File memtest.bin | BIN I moved everything to my comp even and still nothing. Also, I'm sure a better tower would be better, but there's plenty of hassle to that including moving everything, spending money I don't currently have much of (I recently got a new computer), andthis one is being cooled fine what with a small personal fan for a person, therefore large for a tower.

Yeah I got the usb one, but it won't start up. I was looking at their forums too, http://forum.canardpc.com/forums/73-Memtest86-Official-forum, namely this thread http://forum.canardpc.com/threads/39168-Windows-HOWTO-Boot-Memtest-on-USB-Drive and that window won't come up. It won't let me boot up the program because it's just 'file' type.

Actually, the errors were caused by a game file: left4dead2.exe. Any chance the game is not original?

Well, turns out my mobo didn't like my ram for some reason, even though a scan I found online along with a store said that they were compatible. So, I replaced my ram a couple days ago and have had no problems since then. Thank you guys all very much for helping me trouble shoot this for the last week. Your +votes I gave you all are very well deserved!
