Windows 7 64 bit disconnects networkshares every 2-3 minutes
My new PC (Intel i7 with Intel motherboard DP55WB and SSD drive) with latest drivers has a very annoying problem.Every 2-3 minutes it will disconnect my network shares (and thus killing my access database on the server)tried all the tips on the net, like getting rid of IP6 and switching off the energy savers on the network card, but no luck so far. (on windows XP everything workes fine, so I don't think it is a hardware problem)Anybody a solution please?

Maybe this will help somebody,What I finaly did was turn down the speed on the network interface card to 10 Mbit half duplex, that stayed stable.I can turn it up to 100 Mbit half duplex, at full duplex the problems start.I have to live with it for now, but we decided NOT to sell Win7 to business customers, till these kind of illneses are found and solved.Anybody knows why my Diamond touch phone will not synchronys

Hi, I am sorry for what you experienced and appreciate your time and efforts on investigation. Please just try the following to see if it helps: Run the following commands one by one in an elevated command prompt in Windows 7: netsh interface tcp set global rss=disabled netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled netsh int ip set global taskoffload=disabled Regarding you question about Windows Mobile synchronization, since it is related to Windows Mobile, it is recommended that you contact our Windows Mobile support for help: Windows Phone help & Howto Windows Phone Forums Thanks. Nicholas, thanks for your suggestion and sorry for the delay, tried the netsh commands, put the linkspeed of the intel networking adapter back to auto negotiation, and lost connenction to the server all most instantly again.Back on 100Mb half duplex it works (slowly...)

Hi, Thank you for your update. Please also try to disable SNP in Windows 7 by setting Registry as following: Note: Please perform a full-system backup first. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters] EnableTCPChimney=dword:00000000 EnableTCPA=dword:00000000 EnableRSS=dword:00000000 If the keys don't exist, please create them first. I'm experiencing a issue that sounds a lot like the one above. I run Windows Server 2008 R2 as a host system and Windows 7 as a hyper-v guest. Both systems are 64 bit, and both systems are dropping connection to a Windows Server 2003 SP2 based server with multiple shares. The problem only started last Thursday (05/06/2010). All other shares on all other servers are stable, including ones on another Windows Server 2003 SP2 based system. I have a share mapped within the Windows 7 environment, but just used a UNC path in Explorer on the host environment. In both cases it allows me to connect to the share and traverse folders, but within about 10 second of connection the file list in Explorer either goes empty while keeping me in the folder I was in or, kicks me up to a higher level directory (sometimes two or three levels up), or drops me out of the share completely displaying all of my drives in the right pane. Accessing the files through an application sometimes brings up messages that the connection is lost or it cannot write the file to the directory. RDP works fine, I do not loose any connection to the remote desktop. I will attempt some of the above suggestions and report back.

Found what seemed to causing my issue. A second NIC on the server had been activated that had been assigned an IP on a different subnet. Once the second NIC was disabled the drops stopped occurring.
