Windows 7 64 bit - Backup and restore reset?
I was running Windows 7 32 bit from my C: partition on my laptop drive (clean install). I've set up 'Backup and restore' to create backups on my H: partition (roughly 158 GB in size). Now I am running Windows 7 64 bit (also a clean install) from an SSD drive (I've mounted the other drive through a eSATA port) Here I've also set up 'Backup and restore' to create backups on that same partition of my original drive. I'm guessing this causes a problem, since I can't 'Manage space', I can't 'Change settings' (like create a schedule for backups), I can't even start creating a backup. I've allready formatted the partition I want to make my backups on, but that did not seem to help... How do I reset my Backup and restore so I can choose which drive I want to use etc.?

Ok, I tried importing a registry key to reset my 'Backup and Restore' below are the contents: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsBackup] "ValidConfig"=- [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsBackup\ScheduleParams] [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsBackup\Security] [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsBackup\Status] That worked as far as the reset goes, but now I see a 'Set up backup..." button which doesn't do anything. It briefly tries to open something (I see some sort of icon appearing and closing on the taskbar) but it doesn't work. Please help. PS I don't know if it's related, but the same thing happens (icon appearing and closing) when I try to start Internet Explorer in Private mode from the Start Menu so I'm beginning to think there are other problems...
