Windows 7 64-Bit - BSOD after update
Well this has been happening for a while even after a fresh new system recovery. It only happens when I install the Windows 7 update and 2 important updates fail everytime. I haven't installed much software only the ones listed below - Sony Vegas Pro 10 - Total Media Extreme 2 - Drivers for a screen capturing device (AverMedia AverTV HD USB DVR) - And a couple of games - Photoshop CS5 - Winrar - uTorrent So far, I have been avoiding the updates because I don't wanna risk losing my files, I don't have any back up discs at the moment so I can't make back ups. Also do not have another hard drive. Can anyone help me?

Hi, The link for the dump file is still not available. Please check it. Regarding the BSOD, I suggest updating the BIOS and devices drivers from the manufacture's site. Also perform a Clean Boot and disable any security software temporarily, then install one update for testing. If the issue occurs again, you could perform System Restore and let me know the problematic updates. Also, the SRTSP64.SYS (SEP driver) shows up as a "loaded" and "unloaded" driver. Symantec Endpoint Protection may not be totally compatible with Windows 7 Service Pack 1: http://www.symantec.com/connect/ideas/symantec-endpoint-protection-support-microsoft-windows-7-service-pack-1-and-windows-server-200 Also, SEP has been a suspect in PROCESS1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED (6b) errors before: http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/win-7-crash-due-sep It may be worth a try to try an alternative to SEP especially if installing SP1.
