Hi, I suggest contacting ASUS Support to confirm if there is update for your motherboard or if there is chipset provided. In addition, its necessary for us to test the issue in Safe Mode to check if the computer can shut down normally. If the issue did not occur in Safe Mode, we can conclude that the root cause of the issue is the device drivers or 3rd party services. Lets try updating the device drivers via Device Manager. Update driver via WU===============1.Clickthe Start Button, type Device Manager in the search bar and press Enter. Click Continue if necessary.2.Expand the "Device Category name" category.3.Right click "Device Name" we are using and click Update Driver Software4.Select the Search automatically for updated driver software option.5.Let the system scan for the updated driver online. After that, if the issue persists, we need to perform Device Clean Boot to narrow down the root cause of the issue. Device Clean boot====================1. Click "Start", type "DEVMGMT.MSC" in the Search textbox and press Enter. Please click Allow if the User Account Control window is prompted.2. Expand "Sound, video and game controllers". 3. Right click on your Sound Card, select "Properties"4. Click "Driver" tab, click Disable (Disable the selected device). Click OK 5. Please use the same method to disable other hardware such as: Modem, network card, CD-R drive. Please note some devices such as video adapter are not available Judy :)

Hi Nishchay, Does the issue still occur in Safe Mode? If so, the problem may be with the motherboard or Central Processing Unit (CPU). If this is the case, I recommend you contact the manufacture for the hardware for more information.ASUS Support Judy :)
