Windows 7 32-bit Workgroup connection, XP Notebook on WLAN is seen but not recognised (cannot access).
I have just upgraded my desktop pc to W7, without major problem. However, whilst the W7 Network displays my notebook correctly by name and by workgroup, and I can access files which I have shared on the pc from the notebook, when I try to view the files on the notebook from the pc W7 responds that it cannot find a computer of that name (which it has already correctly displayed). The notebook is running XP (fully updated) and is connected over a wireless LAN.Any ideas?

I found a previous response to watch the video at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Networking-home-computers-running-different-versions-of-Windows and slavishly followed the directions. It seems that re-running the Network Wizard on the xp notebook was the solution to the problem. I can now share in both directions.
