Windows 7 - user account
I have laptop. I am using on win 7, where I do not want to crowd my admin account with various user software. I have separate user for USERSOFTWARE. I installed the software under this user (USE_ACC) with short cut. When ever I run the program after logging into (USE_ACC), it says "Do you want to allow the program to make changes ........?" And prompt for admin password to run the program every time. If we install this software in admin account, it will not prompt for admin password, but it is not a good idea on maintenance perspective. How do we make this work with other account (USE_ACC) without admin prompt? I did search on google, they suggest disabling security function (UAC). It is not a good one either. Did you come across this? Do you use win 7 with admin account and user account basis?

It appears this software wants to access a part of the registry on startup, something only the admin has access to. When installing as the admin, this is different. Your method of running as a standard user is correct, this will prevent malicious software having full access to your system, however, installing software is something you require local admin rights todo. I recommend you install the software using the admin account, but run the software using only the USE_ACC account.

Hi, You may run the installation with administrator when installing. Ivan-Liu TechNet Community Support

I would not turn off the UAC, but maybe temporarily put the account in the Local Administrators group instead. Then, the user should have no trouble installing the software, and will not be prompted for password. A lot of larger organizations actually add users to the Local Administrators group, to minimize the amount of helpdesk calls. But on the other hand, there are obvious security risks with this.Website: www.danielclasson.com | LinkedIn: Daniel Classon

Since the Software you are installing requires administrative priviliges. You may Go to the Properties by right Clicking, then Compatibility Tab, Then Click Change settings for all Users, and Check the Privilege Level box to Run this Program as an Administrator. You need to login as Administrator to do these Chages. And Next time you login with other User It should run the Program as Administrator.
