Windows 7 - suddenly no audio over HDMI
Hi, I had my computer running on my LCD via HDMI - everything was fine - had great video + audio. A week ago I suddenly lost all audio. Lenovo told me to reinstall Windows 7, which I did and got the audio back. Now suddenly after 6 days no audio again - LCD sound device doesn't appear (only laptop speakers) - Lenovo sent me ATI drivers to reinstall - didn't help. Lenovo says it's not the computer's problem and told me to reinstall windows AGAIN - that makes no sense! Can anyone help?

Hi dalrab, Windows 7 has a built-in troubleshooter. You may run this utility to identify the problem: 1. Click the Start button, type Troubleshooting in the search box and press Enter. 2. Click Troubleshoot audio playback under Hardware and Sound, then click Advanced, uncheck the Apply repairs automatically option and click Next. 3. Let the troubleshoot check for the problems. 4. Select the device you want to troubleshoot and then click Next. Now, check if the problem is fixed. If not, please try updating the sound driver. Hope it helps. Styx
