Hi Chris, The large file size transferring will cause network overload. Disabling taskoffload and autotuninglevel will speed up the network performance and solve the network hang issue. For more information, you can refer to the following KB. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;951037 Regards, Niki Please remember to click "Mark as Answer" on the post that helps you, and to click "Unmark as Answer" if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Hi niki thanks for answer. Is this a wrong default from Microsoft? Ok 2,5GB Service Pack is large but 48MB is not very large. We have the filecopy problem with different user and different windows 7 workstations and with Windows 7 SP1.Chris

Hi Chris, It is not related to the default from Microsoft. It depends on your network environment and bandwidth.
