Windows 7 - Wifi adapter not recognized
I have a problem with Windows 7 Release Candidate (beta rev7100). I have a Linksys Wireless-B (WUSB11V4) network adapter that I use to connect to my wifi router. It works fine under my Windows XP. However, as I installed Win7 beta, I didn't find any way to make it work. Tried to find a driver, but it does not seems to exist for Win7. Tried to install the driver I got with it, but it doesn't seem to work as it's for Windows XP. Tried to make Win7 recognize it by its own ways, but failed. The adapter's a 802.11b. Is that too old for Windows 7? By the way, when I try to plug it out, I hear a sound and when I plug it in again, I hear another one, but it does not seem to be the "hardware recognized" sound. Can anyone help or send a driver for windows 7?

Right click on the Linksys Wireless software, select Properties , then Compatibility , then check Run This Program in Compatility Mode . Click the down arrow and select the newest operating system that you know will run the Linksys software. Save your work and check your router again. If it still doesn't work then follow the same directions all the way through so you can select the next oldest operating system. This is a great feature...very handy!
