Windows 7 - Update Error 8024402F
I have an Acer Ferrari One laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium x64 preinstalled.
Just recently, everytime I try and get windows updates, it gives me a 8024402F.
The KB for the said error suggests that this is a network problem, but in my case, there are two computers connected to the network, all of them windows 7 x64 and the other computer, a PC, didn't have any windows update problems.
Detail of the error below:

I already referred to that KB as what i have said earlier. I have tried the suggested solutions, but none works. My internet connection is good, and another windows 7 pc connected to the same network as this laptop has its windows update properly
working so i think this is not a network related error but rather software related. What can I do? Is there anyway to reset windows update on windows 7?

This KB describes how you can reset your windows update agent.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058
Note that windows 7 is not in the list of applies to: but it must also work on Windows 7.
