Windows 7 - Unable to log-in using Remote Desktop
Under, computer management > users ... I found that the 'Full Name' and 'Name' are different. This full name was created during the installation process. I tried the 'Name' instead of Full Name. It worked! Now i can log-in either using the 'Name' or 'Full Name' Just to update that i also restarted the server many times during searching of this workaround. -- Waqar

Today I am unable to login using RDP from XP to Windows 7 machine. The error is: "The user name or password is incorrect." It's weird, because i can access the same Windows 7 machine with same credentials using my Logmein.com account. I created a new account user1 on windows7 machine. And found that machine is accessible using the new user. The last thing that i could recall is that I had changed the screen resolution when I was logged in using Logmein.com. After changing the resolution I am not been able to re-login using remote desktop (mstsc.msc) with the same old account. Similar problem... http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7itproperf/thread/4ce6156e-1487-434b-a4ed-730225bc1de2 I had no problems re-logging back in remotely onto other accounts that had the default text/icon size. This is where this thread and ideas made sense. I logged onto the suspect HTPC user account, changed the size back to small (default), and sure enough it solved the problem. Please let me know if it's a bug. -- Waqar
