It's a Windows 7 Home Premium OS, with up-to-date updates. A full scan with Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 has revealed no issues.
I can provide further details as necessary.
Thanks,
Chris

Hi,
For crash issue, we need to debug, it cannot be resolved from the OS, I recommend you
contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support (CSS) via telephone so that a dedicated Support Professional can assist with your request. To troubleshoot this kind of kernel
crash issue, we need to debug the crashed system dump. Unfortunately, debugging is beyond what we can do in the forum. Please be advised that contacting phone support will be a charged call.
To obtain the phone numbers for specific technology request please take a look at the web site listed below:

I am having exactly the same issue. It started right after a Windows Update (at 3:30AM).
Kaspersky was the first one to fail in the event log right after the update finished.
None of my 32 bit apps (eg Office, IE, Visual Studio) will work in my Windows 7/64 install.
IE 64 works as does Lightroom 64.
This is clearly a result of the update.
I rolled the updates back but of course no help. I have tried every sort of repair, but if the repair is 32 bit based it crashes too.
I am reluctant to spend $250 for a support call when I can buy a Mac Mini for $400 and be rid of this stuff all together.
So... Is there a way to fix this short of "format C:"?
(BTW I have tried all the registry scans, scannow, fdisk, repair, upgrades with no success).
