Windows 7 - Logging Off when try to login to a Domain
Hi Guys,I have installed Windows 7 (7100 Build) not too long ago. apparently this is my work Laptop so I have to connect it to the work domain to get access to few servers which work on LDAP.I had once connected it to the domain before and got it removed. I added it again and now the problem I have is whenever I loginit accepts the user / password and logges me off after a while. it shows the following on the screen. Welcome screenPreparing your desktop (says this for couple of seconds) then logout by displaying Logging Off...Has anyone got any idea why its not allowing me to login just to be sure I am successfully about to log in with the same user id and password from a different system. I have actually got 2 domain account so already tried the other accounts does the same. What I have done so far. Removed the laptop form domain and removed it from Active directory. Then added the laptop to the domain again. And wait till it updates and shows the laptop on the AD. Restarted the LP and try to log in again . but I got the same problem Shows this sequence Welcome Preparing your desktop Logging Off. And goes back to Ctrl +Alt + Del Screen. Any help will be much appreciated. If you have any questions or require further information please feel free to contact me. Thanks,Best Regards,Ibrahim

Check to see if your logon scripts/group policy provides different logons for different OS.If so, you'll need to add a provision for Windows 7.

Thanks for the info,I Think i got it sorted now. I am now able to login to the domain -I have login locally and added the domain user I wanted to login within the Local Administrators group.and it seems to allow me to login on the laptop with the domain account. still have a very restricted sort of profile I think I just need to move my computer account from AD to the right gorup to fix that. Many Thanks.
