Windows 7 - Java script problem
Hi, I have a problem with two Windows 7 x64 computers. When I browse a web page (for example www.bloomberg.com) I cannot see some elements of the page (that I can see with another computer with exactly the same configuration) and zone that must contain video are empty. I tried : - To use Chrome, Firefox - To uninstall flash player and install it again - To uninstall Java and install it again - Register IE dll Always same problem. I used the debug tool of IE 9 and I saw in the console tab lots of errors : - SCRIPT1014: Invalid character - SCRIPT5007: Unable to get value of the property 'phase_2_cookie_key': object is null or undefined - SCRIPT5009: 'COMSCORE' is undefined - Etc. On others computer again with Windows 7 x64 and IE 9, everything work and there is no error in the console tab for the same webpage. For example, I should see a video on this page but nothing appears under the text: http://www.bloomberg.com/video/70168496/ It seems to be a problem with javascript. Anyone have an idea ? Thanks in advance. n3id

Java and JavaScript are different entities! 1. For Java errors you have adopted the correct approach, i.e. uninstall and then reinstall it. 2. For JavaScript errors, go to Internet Options > Security Tab > Internet > Custom Level, scroll down to the Scripting section (near the bottom) and in Active Scripting, put a check mark against Enable. And reregister it, click the Windows Orb (Start) > All Programs > Accessories and right-click Command Prompt, then ‘Run as Administrator’. Type regsvr32 jscript.dll (note the space) and press Enter. A box will come up saying it has been successful, click OK to close the box. For all browsers, look here http://support.microsoft.com/gp/howtoscript

Hi, According to your description, this issue may occur due to conflict with certain add-ons. Have you tried to open Internet Explorer (No Add-ons) for test? You can click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools, and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons). Please kindly refer to the following article: How do browser add-ons affect my computer? Or you could try to view in compatible mode to see how it works: Some Web sites may not behave as expected in Internet Explorer Hope it helps. Hi, Thanks for you answer. Unfortunately it is not a problem of Add-ons. I already tried to start IE without any add ons and the problem is the same. The problem appair to every browser I tried (IE, Firefox, Chrome). So I realy think there is something wrong with the OS it self. Thanksn3id

Hi, If this issue occurs to all browsers, I suggest you boot into Safe Mode with networking to see what the result is. If this issue does not persist in Safe Mode, it should be caused by software conflicts, please use Clean Boot to troubleshoot this problem.
