Windows 7 - 2008R2 printer driver - access denied when adding a network printer
Have a strange issue. Windows 7 Enterprise base SOE WDS deployment, print server sitting on Server 2008 R2. Domain admins login to desktop and can download printer drivers, normal users can login, some get to download printers on some machines but not others. If we add them to local admins, they can't download the drivers from the print server. By entering the ip address of the printer any user can download the printer drivers to any machine. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi, Can you advise me the following question: How did you add the printer? Windows Explorer or Add the printer guide. Please refer the following to resolve your issue accordingly. Check the printers’ permission in your printer server. In addition, I would like to advise you that the driver would not download from the printer server when you enter the IP address of the printer to add the it. Please kindly check it.
