Windows 7 ( 32BIT) Cisco Client 5.0.5/5.0.6 , not picking up company dns settings?
HI All, We have recently rolled out windows 7 into our organization; everything was working fine, both internally and externally. We have always used the Cisco VPN client to connect to our organization when using either 3G cards or on either home or client sites. Recently our Cisco VPN clients have stopped picking up our companies DNS settings, (it shows in ipconfig /all) but will not use them, rendering this function useless until we get it fixed. We have tried it on a fresh machine (built from CD) we have tried all of our images, without success. However this is where this problem gets even more wired, it effect machines in different ways, Some machines cannot use the client at all, whether they are using 3G or Broadband Some machines work on 3G and not broadband and vice versa. Would really like to hear from anyone who have suggestions or have experienced maybe the same or similar issues. We have contacted the software venders of all products and there all blaming each other so that’s been no help. :( Many thanks in advance Chris

Hi, thank you for posting here. After checking your issue, it seems that the issue is caused by Cisco VPN client. As Cisco VPN client isn’t the produce of Microsoft, I suggest that you should better ask Cisco for further help: Cisco Support Community Please note: we provide the third party link for technical use only. There may be some changes without notice, Microsoft doesn’t guarantee any accuracy on contacting information.
