Windows 7 (64) Sound issues
Hi I am having trouble with the sound in Windows 7 - This started up suddenly when playing Eve Online and using Mumble Communications. I have used both for months with no problem till now. Issues: 1. Realtek HD Audio Manager detects the main speakers and indicates sound is being sent to them with the test but no sound comes out. Speakers work fine when plugged into a separate laptop. 2. Headphones work fine for some programs, itunes, system sounds, but some programs are very quiet (almost inaudiable) when playing, EVE Online, Mumble, Teamspeak. Volume levels in these applications have been set to max but still too quiets to hear. (Interestingly the EVE Voice is loud enough but the environment sounds are too quiet to hear.) Attempted solutions: 1. I have tried almost every setting in Realtek HD Audio Manager. 2. I have unistalled the driver and allowed Windows to detect it on restart 3. I have tried to set the applications volume controls to offset for the imbalance 4. I have checked the Realtek HD Audio Manager Driver is up to date 5. I have completed a Windows 7 Update What else can I do please? Many thanks

Hi, Have you tried System Restore to get back to a previous good time? Do you have any changes on your computer recently? What is the result when you boot into Clean Boot mode? Hi, If some of the system files associated with the functioning of sound in Windows 7 get corrupted or damaged, problems with sound would come up. In such cases, the issue can be only resolved by repairing the OS using the default OS repair tool and if the problem seems to have come up recently after some changes to system files were made, restoring the system to an earlier trouble-free time might also solve the issue. Get more information to resolving Sound Issues in Windows 7 . Hope this helps you.
