What are the booting files of windows 7?

Hi, this is a rather difficult question to answer. If you mean what the required files are for Windows to boot, there are quite a lot of them. If you mean configurable bootfiles (like config sys and autoexec bat for DOS, boot.ini for XP,..) there are none. The bootmanager is configured using bcdedit (instead of manually editing boot.ini) and settings are no longer stored in a plain text file. config.sys and autoexec.bat disappeared a long time ago. After the bootmanager finished (and selected the correct partition to start from), winloader.exe run and starts loading the OS itself. I guess this is not the kind of information you're after, so it might be best to clarify your question!MCP/MCSA/MCTS/MCITP
