Windows 2008 memory limitations when installing Oracle
HiI am currently trying to install Oracle EBS R12 on Windows 2008 Server Enterprise SP2, and at the same step each time it is either hanging or failing with errors such as 'Insufficient resources', 'No quota available', 'Disk write error, disk full'. There are no disk space issues, or quotas set. The user has full admin rights. I have set the page file to 10G on C: and 4G on D: (this is where the files are being installed). I have contacted Oracle and tried all their suggested fixes but nothing is working, so I would like to know if there are any parameters in the registry or other limitations for the kernel memory - having monitored this it is the kernel memory that increases to between 600M and 800M and then the problem occurs. It doesn't seem to release the memory until I reboot the server. I have installed the same software on Windows 2003 without this problem so I believe it is something with Windows 2008. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks, Diane1 person needs an answerI do too

Why are you asking a Windows 2008 server question in a Windows XP forum?
