Windows 10 update

I am getting very upset and pissed about this update. I have been using OME Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center for months with Windows activation, Microsoft product ID key and full automatic updates checked. I am using AMD A8-3820 APU processors with Radeon HD Graphic 2500MHz, 16 GB of installed RAM, 2TB internal hard drive, and a 3 TB external hard drive. The CPU is an HP p7-1258 64 bit OS (64xbased) v6.3.9600 build 9600.

I still have not received the icon to reserve Windows 10. An old Windows 7 OS from years back, with far less memory and a small hard drive has the icon for the Windows 10 update.

I have always used Microsoft OS from DOS, 95, 98, ME, XP, Vista, 7, 8, and now 8.1.

Why can't get the icon to appear, or should I just trash this CPU and go to an Apple and tell Microsoft to KMA?

If possible, just keep it simple and tell me how to reserve, or now as of today, how to download and install Windows 10.

Thanks in advance.

I think you cant update to Windows 10 via store since you have Windows 8.1 pro with WMC, WMC will be removed on Windows 10. You still can upgrade to Windows 10 via ISO, but please take a not it will be no more WMC

Hello David,

Thank you for your question and your interets about our new product Windows 10.

I understand you that it will be easier and more convenience to have the upgrade to Windows automatically. However, please understand the OEM version of Windows is something different with the native Windows product, especially on the license part. Whenever a new product is released, OEM may test the system on their own hardware in order to ensure the compatibility. If everything is fine, they will give Microsoft assurance so that Microsoft can safely release the update for our customer.

Consider with your current situation, I suggest we contact the computer vendor about this question. Without their assurance, we do not suggest a manual upgrade in case of any unexpected issue like activation or compatibility issues.

Thanks,
