You can skip the Windows 10 upgrade. Anyway I strongly recommend you to upgrade to Windows 10
there is some workaround for this issue
but agree with Yannick Plavonil upgrade to Windows 10 is recommended, but since this OS is OEM I suggest you contact device manufactured as well for advices, driver should be available
