Windows 10 install issue
I was trying to install windows 10 on my laptop that has windows 7.  Microsoft downloaded windows 10, then told me it was ready to install. The first try returned an error and said it would try again. I rebooted my laptops several times and tired it again. It ran all day today and didn

The fastest way to get the upgrade is to download the ISO.  An ISO is like a dvd so to use it you will need to right click>mount.  Start the upgrade from within windows.
WARNING:  DO NOT USE THESE TO DO A CLEAN INSTALL (until after you have already updated).  If you do you will not be able to activate it unless you have previously upgraded to win 10 and activated it.  You then will be forced to re-install your previous OS before upgrading to win 10

There are many reasons that could cause the install failure, such as disk size, permission, system files corrupting and so on. We need to know your Windows 7 Version, in which phase the install failed and the error log if you can find c:\windows.~bt\source\panther\setuperr.log, then we could conclude the cause of the install failure.

Before that, you can try to install it from media tool and follow the steps below to install Windows 10 smoothly.
