Windows7 x64 VMWare networking driver
Guys, Does anyone know of a compatable network driverfor VMWare? I have tried both x86 and x64 versions but the VM Network driver just doesnt work. I also tried installing the XP driver (from a VMWare console) onto the Windows7 platform, but with no joy. Any suggestions here would be most welcome! :)

Use bridged mode instead of NAT mode if you can. Worked out of the box for me. There is a solution for NAT, but it requires a page-full of hacks. Sorry, don't have a link for you, but I think I read about it in the VMWare forums.

Just an update- That solution didnt work, but I found one that did:http://communities.vmware.com/thread/188094With the Windows 7 Guest OS shutdown, open the associated .vmx file in Notepad. Scroll to the end of the file and add the line ethernet0.virtualDev = "e1000" Save the file and close it. Restart the Windows 7 Guest OS, and Windows will automatically recognise the Network Adapter as 'Intel(R) PRO/1000 MT Network Connection'.
