Windows7 says that a folder is shared when it is not
I have a drive which is NOT my c: where any time I try to delete a folder it tells me that it can't do it because the folder is shared. I went into computer > manage > shared folders > shares and confirmed that I only have the default shares (the ones with $ in their name). I don't even do sharing since it's so unforgivably slow and just easier to use usb memory sticks.

I do not understand what you mean by "I have a drive which is NOT my c:". Would you describe your problem in more understandable form. We do not see what you see. Regards Milos

Hi, Firstly, please make sure that the folder is not in a network drive and would you please capture a screenshot of the folder in Computer Management. Meanwhile, you can try following: 1. Right click the folder -> Properties -> Sharing, make sure no one else in the list of file sharing expect for the owner. 2. Try to delete the folder in Safe Mode and see how it works. Hope this helps. If a post solved your problem, click Mark as Answer on the post. If a post helped you, click "Vote As Helpful" on the left side of post.
