Windows7: Windows cannot find: ''. Make sure you typer the name corretly, and then try again.
Hello. I have major issue on my Windows7 for two weeks. Here are the symptoms: - while trying to run any application that needs administration rights (f.e. "regedit" or any application with this blue and yellow shield) I get one of this message: "Windows cannot find: ''. Make sure you typer the name correctly, and then try again." or "ShellExecuteEx failed code 2". - to registers I can enter only using safe mode - unable to install/uninstall any application - windows firewall and anti virus are disabled and when I'm trying to enable it manually I see that this apps also have issue with starting anything with admin rights - unable to see PID (I activated system few days ago and it was visible in my computer->manage->product ID Issue started about two weeks ago. I tried to find the way to solve it, no luck. I check my drive for any viruses, also scanned HDD on another PC, it found some bugs but all ware removed. Because I couldn't find any other solution I reinstalled the system and it helped. It worked fine for few next days and today I found that the issue comes back. I found some information about virus called "sicram" or something like this, that causes effect like this one. I followed the instruction to detect it, but I wasn't able to find it, like it is not there. I want to know if it is some kind of system issue (i looked over the internet to find answer, and many people had the same issue, but no one found any working sollution)? Or maybe it is 100% virus issue? Where to find the answer and solution other than reinstall? Best regards, Lucas

Have you done some tweaks for UAC before the issue occurred? If so, it must be the problem. You can try to restore the system with System Restore. If it does not work, I suggest you check virus. You can try this: Safety Scan for Windows Vista and Windows 7 Arthur Xie - MSFT
