Windows' handle on temporary files
Hello,I am interested in learning how windows handle temporary files. here is an example,When a program writes to a usb drive, is some type of temporary file created and stored on the windows hard drive machine in this process?If so, is the file then deleted automatically when the windows finishes writing to the usb drive? Thanks!1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi tehslax, The answer is it can depend on the program. It is possible for a program to create a temp file on the C drive, but that would be program doing it, not Windows. Whether or not the temp file would get deleted, again is under the control of the program.Hope this helps some.-z1p
