If you are logging in with administration privilieges, yes you can make changes to the autorization policy of the shared folders existing at machine M1 Can I access from host M2 to do that change on host M1? If then how can I establish this connection?

Hi all, I am using Microsoft Network and Domain architecture and I have some shared files with a specific autorization policy on that folders existing at machine M1 installed at building A. Now I am logining from machine M2 installed at building B using my administration privilieges. Can I, from Machine M2 at building B, access to Machine M1 at building A and change in the autorization policy of the shared folders existing at machine M1? |___M1 (shared files)______| <--------------------|_______M2______| Building A Building B Thank you for your answer. Policies, permissions, rights are all independent of physical network structure. Unless there is a firewall or other device filtering traffic between the two hosts (source and destination), it is not going to matter where hte hosts are on your network. Visit: anITKB.com, an IT Knowledge Base.

Hi epsilon12345, Easily speaking, for example, if M1 and M2 supports and allows remote desktop, at the same time, you have enough administrative privileges. You can change the settings on M1.
