Hi, Changing something significant like the motherboard/processor in a pc can interfere with the hardcoded information that Windows uses to validate your product license key. My advice would be to: * Ensure you have your Windows Product key to hand * Boot to a command prompt by Pressing F8 during the boot sequence * Select Safe Mode Command Prompt (If you are not successful with this, It may be achievable by using the System Boot CD or another Windows 7 CD) * Run the following command slmgr -rearm * Reboot the host * Should the host boot successfully, you WILL get a notification to tell you that you have a number of days to activate Windows * Click Start, and Right-Click MY Computer, Select Properties, and then scroll to the bottom of the Window to the Windows Activation section * Ensure you are connected to the Internet, Enter in your product key and activate. * If activation fails, there may be a phone option for your country, give them a call and explain you changed hardware * If you get to this point, OEM licensing generally means that the Hardware is licensed to use MS Windows for the duration of that hardwares lifespan, so it may not be possible to re-activate under the new hardware. It may be an issue for your computer vendor to solve if you had genuine reason for replacing hardware or if its vendor hardware being used. I cannot say for certain what will happen in terms of activation. Hope it works out! Martin If you find my information useful, please rate it. :-)

Hi, Based on the current situation, please try the following: 1. Perform a Startup Repair and see how it works. 2. Check if your computer can boot into Safe Mode. If it can, please uninstall all devices drivers, boot into Windows 7 normally and reinstall them. If it even cannot enter Safe Mode, Im afraid that you may have to reinstall Windows 7. Hope this helps. Jeremy Wu TechNet Community Support
