Window 7 professional slow access to DFS folders
Dear Sirs,
Iwould like to submit a problem of WIndows 7 Pro client accessing DFS folders.
The DFS infrastructure is made of Windows Server 2003 R2 and Windows Server 2008 Dc and File server. One Domain Namespace with 3 namespace server on three different sites.
If Win7 client access a DFS folders using the Windows Explorer libraries link, performance is poor (green bar appears). If the same UNC path is accessed using the start/run, Windows explorer is fast.
What I have checked:
1. The problem happens from one site only
2. Namespace server are available on all site
3. The file server used on every site is correct
Could you give any help? I thank you and remain,
Enrico Giacomin

Hi Enrico,
In order to clarify the issue more clear, I suggest checking the following information:
1. Please check if the other computers with Windows 7 encountered the same issue, and if the other systems encounter this issue;
2. Please boot in safe mode with networking and
Clean Boot
to test this issue.

Hello Sabrina,
Surely other computers has the same issue, but there are all notebooks, same hardware, same deployment mode.
Thank you for the clean boot suggestion. I transmitted it to the client, then I will post the result soon.
