Window 7 mapped drive contents not refreshing
We have a share setup on windows 2008 server where users can scan from multifunction printers to be drop into this share. When they scan something to the share and go back to their PC to retrieve the electronic copy, the changes are not updated in the mapped drive. I can see the file if I mapped to the share from their PC \\server\share also if I disconnect and reconnect the mapped drive. If you check this post I am having the same issue but no resolution was posted. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itpronetworking/thread/d50c2e66-773f-4cc2-9f71-646c56a850fb If anyone experienced this issue and have a resolution please advise thanks

If you see them it's an explorer issue otherwise a communication/cache issue. Wolfgang

I tried the dir command and i do not see the files. Disconnecting and reconnecthing the only way to update the file or wait about 15 to 20 minutes and files will be updated on the PC.

Win7 search extends to Win2008 servers and directory queries are in fact sometimes searches in existing indexes. So maybe it is a case of rebuilding of indexes not quick enough. Just a guess in the wild. Wolfgang
