Hi, If the WLAN AutoConfig service cannot start, I suggest you copy the following files on another Windows 7 machine which WLAN AutoConfig service can start normally and import them to the problematic one. 1. Locate the wlansvc.dll file under the folder C:\Windows\System32. Remove the old one and paste the new one. a. Click the Start Button, type "cmd" (without quotation marks), in the search result list, right click on Cmd.exe and select Run as administrator. Note: If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password, or click Continue. b. In the popup window, type the following command and press Enter: regsvr32 wlansvc.dll 2. Navigate the following registry key on another Windows 7 machine and export it. Then, please copy and import it on the problematic machine. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\Wlansvc If the issue persists after performing above suggestions, I suggest you run System File Checker (SFC) to verify whether any system file is corrupted. Thanks, Novak

Dear Novak, I am trying to get my WLAN service to work. I have lost connectivity to my wireless adapter. When I try to "start" the service, I get error 1068. I need a little more info to be able to comply with your suggestions: 1. Are both steps 1 and 2 needed, or do you mean that one or the other would get to the same place? 2. When I attempt step 1, I get the following message after I press Enter: The module "wlansvc.dll" was loaded but the entry point DllRegisterServer was not found. Make sure that "wlansvc.dll" is a valid DLL or OCX file and try again. 3. I exported the wlansvc (the entire folder) from another Win7 compuuter (onto a USB drive), but I was unable to copy it onto the problematic one. I was even unable to delete the old one. Could you please be specific on how to do that? Thank you very much
