I have bought an HP laptop (Intel core 2 duo) with Vista premium OS. Now I want to have Window 7 as my new OS. Here are my questions 1) Will I get to download Window 7 OS with the latest version free??? 2) Where will I get this Window 7 OS download for free instead of downloading the Window 7 that will expire by March 2010??/ 3) Would I have to change everything with all my current applications??/

Window 7 download - 1.) That would depend on if you bought the laptop after June 26th, and it was covered by the vendor with the upgrade guarantee... If memory serves, you usually get a coupon of some sort to redeem for a copy of Win 7 when it's released. If you didn't get anything in the package with the laptop, you might want to contact your vendor.2.) That once again, is up to the OEM. 3.) Since you've got Vista installed, then you should be able to do an upgrade to Win 7 when it's released. Once again, contact your vendor.
