windows firewall is on when I start RC32bits, but it goes offline always alone soon after starting. I found no help on microsft help. Any idea? Thank you

Have you configured the Advanced firewall and if so, what settings have you altered ? Try reinstalling the firewall from an Elevated Command Prompt [ECP] After opening the prompt, type in the below exactly as written, including the spaces, then press Enter rundll32 setupapi,InstallHinfSection Ndi-Steelhead 132 %windir%\inf\netrass.inf Then run the firewall reset command from an ECP. Restart the system and see if the firewall stays on now. If no joy, run the System File Checker from an ECP. Though the link goes to a page for Vista, the same command should be able to be run in Win7. The KB article also describes where to look for files that can not be repaired by running SFC. Follow the directions at the bottom of the article and manually try to replace any files that can not be repaired.
