Win XP will not boot after changing performance options
Hello community and thanks for reading. Originally Win XP memory usage was set to programs, but in the last year or so it has been set to system cache because I was running my own server and website from my computer trying to learn more about programming. I have not ran a server in a while, but I noticed that the memory usage was still set to system cache. Now when I change it to Programs and reboot my cpu, all it does it freeze at the Win XP loading screen. I would really appreciate help with this problem because I want to improve performance when I play online Games until I build a new, better cpu. (If this helps) The only background services that would benefit from system cache that I know of so far now, is my antivirus program, and windows media player network for my Xbox. Note: I have searched everywhere for an answer, and Googled it, but to no avail.1 person needs an answerI do too

Press F8 on start-up. When at the Advanced Options menu choose to enable boot log file. Restart in safe mode, locate the log file and post it in your reply.Sometimes deciding which battle to fight is the toughest battle of all.. Please visit my website @ http://repairbotsonline.weebly.com/

Consider trying the "Last Known Good Configuration".

thx but that's the thing. "Last known good configuration" will just keep the memory usage on system cache which is what I do not want. I want to be able to switch it to programs and boot it successfully. Joel I will post the log file right now as soon as i do it. Thx Idk if this matters but this is the boot log while the memory usage is still on system cache. Also I hope that if we are able to get it to boot successfully while its set to programs I hope that it does not cause a dramatic performance decrease lol. Also I tried to post the bootlog but it would not let me so i used mediafire Mediafire link to boot log http://www.mediafire.com/?ngwxyh2yhkx
